The Company:

This leading Events Supplier specialises in domestic and international live event and touring logistics. Working with high-profile clients, they work in a range of sectors including live music, theatre, festivals, live events and much more. They are looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join their team in Cronulla to coordinate transportation logistics for live events.

Position Terms:
  • Full-time permanent role, working 5 days in the office
  • Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 plus super
  • Occasional travel for events when required
The Role:

The Transportation Coordinator will report to the Transportation Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the transportation logistics for live events, including scheduling, dispatching, and the tracking of trucks.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Collaborate closely with event planners, vendors, and drivers to ensure seamless execution of trucking operations.
  • Organise travel logistics for staff, including accomodation, flights, etc.
  • Optimise routes, manage load capacity, and maximise efficiency while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Monitor real-time updates, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication channels, both internally and externally, to facilitate smooth coordination and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers, assess their compliance with protocols, and address any training needs.
  • Oversee all repairs and maintenance paperwork, alongside the Trucking & Logistics Manager.
  • Ensure all documents and spreadsheets are up to date and compiled with correct and accurate information.
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing transportation and travel logistics for live events and/or trucking routes. Exceptional organisational and time management skills are essential for this role.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to unexpected changes.
  • A passion for live events.
  • Key attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems and software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel for events when required.
  • Ability to work in the office 5 days a week (located in Cronulla).
