The Company:
This fabulous B2B Events Agency in Sydney create, organise and deliver world-class conferences, exhibitions and events in a range of industries. Located in North Sydney, they are looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team to create and implement marketing campaigns to convert target audiences into event attendees.
Position Terms:
- Full-Time Permanent Role
- Working 3 days in the office and 2 from home
- Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 plus super plus comms
The Role:
The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing & Operations, and will be responsible for leveraging data insights to identify, engage, and convert target audiences into event attendees. This role involves developing and executing marketing campaigns, creating compelling EDMs, and producing marketing materials to drive delegate attendance.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Utilise data analytics to identify and segment high-potential delegate audiences.
- Develop data-driven strategies to optimise delegate acquisition campaigns across email, paid media, and organic channels.
- Build and maintain accurate prospect lists by researching and analysing potential attendees.
- Support lead-generation initiatives and work with the sales team to nurture and convert leads.
- Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social media, SEO) to drive delegate registrations.
- Create engaging EDMs and automated email workflows to maximise conversions.
- Design and develop marketing collateral, including brochures, social media graphics, landing pages, and promotional materials.
- Track, analyse, and optimise campaign performance using key metrics such as conversion rates and engagement levels.
- Monitor delegate acquisition data, providing insights on trends, audience behaviours, and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track campaign performance and delegate registration trends.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities for audience growth.
- Maintain and manage accurate databases for potential and registered delegates.
- Work closely with the event sales and production teams to align delegate acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with outsourced designers and web management team to create visually appealing and high-converting marketing materials.
- Support partnerships with media and associations to expand delegate reach.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have strong marketing experience within an events environment, ideally within a B2B events agency. Experience in delegate acquisition is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with email marketing, social campaigns, and digital advertising is essential for this role.
- Experience in a marketing, delegate acquisition, or data-related role.
- Experience in EDM creation, email marketing, and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp).
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation and delegate acquisition strategies.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing, social campaigns, and digital advertising.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work from the office 3 days a week, located in North Sydney.
