The Company:

This fabulous Events Supplier provides tailored services to their clients to ensuring the smooth execution of events. Known for their expert customer service and logistical knowhow, they are looking for an Event Manager to join their team on a short-term basis to manage key events for their clients.

Position Terms:
  • Full-time 6 month contract
  • Salary $85,000 - $95,000 plus super pro rata
The Role:

The Event Manager will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a range of large-scale events for their clients. The Event Manager role involves working with large budgets, managing logistics and operations for indoor and outdoor events, and ensuring all client expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Plan, organise and deliver a range of events with large budgets from the supplier side handling all logistical and planning requirements.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including venue liaison, crewing, and infrastructure builds. 
  • Manage on-site event delivery.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure OH&S compliance, particularly for green-field events.
  • Lead a team of event crew and labourers on-the-day, including managing schedules, training, briefing, and managing on-site.
  • Monitor budgets and expenses, ensuring all events are delivered within budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the event.
  • Provide post-event reports, including feedback, analysis and recommendations for future events.
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large scale events with large budgets for a range of clients. Experience managing logistics and operations for both indoor and outdoor events is essential for this role. Experience working for an events supplier and handling major builds is ideal. 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communications skills, with strong stakeholder, client and supplier management abilities.
  • Experience and knowledge with OH&S protocols, licenses and permits.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and problem-solve on the go.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and outside of regular business hours as required.
  • Ability to work long hours for event delivery when required.
