The Company:

A fabulous Events Agency based in North Sydney empowers business and technology leaders through data-driven research, presented through the delivery of global events. They are looking for an Event Manager to join their team to manage and deliver events across the world.

Position Terms:
  • Full-time permanent role
  • Working 5 days in the office
  • Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 plus super
  • Ability to travel internationally for events
The Role:

The Event Manager will report to the Event Director and will play an integral role in the customer experience and delivery of conferences, summits and private events. The Event Manager assists in the coordination and management of a high quality programme of events across multiple portfolios.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Develop and oversee the critical paths for all events.
  • Manage all logistics/operations of events from launch through to completion including on-site delivery.
  • Oversee accommodation & flights requirements including rate negotiation with venues.
  • Research and engage venues within necessary timeframes and within allocated budgets.
  • Ensure clear communication and negotiation with venues, AV production, design and print and any other suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure all event budgets are met and kept accurate at all times. Raise any red flags when necessary and ensure reconciliation is done at the conclusion of each event.
  • Keep track of events on the websites and ensure accurate information is displayed at all times.
  • Build and manage registrations forms, communication campaigns, mobile app and other event related tasks
  • Post event analysis, including management of the evaluation process, collating and distributing necessary feedback to all relevant parties, holding event debriefs, final budget reconciliation & reviewing the event.
  • Liaise with graphic designers to ensure all events collateral is ready as per deadlines and in line with the company brand guidelines.
  • Facilitation and optimisation of internal relationships – collaborating with all teams to ensure events are fully promoted and supported.
  • Provide administrative and event support to other members of the event team as required.
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Senior Event Coordinator or Event Manager with exceptional attention to detail. Experience managing conferences and summits end-to-end including registrations, logistics/operations, and budget management is essential for this role.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • Negotiation skills to secure venues and suppliers within budgets
  • Experienced working with budgets
  • Creative and an outside of the box thinker
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for events when required
  • Ability to work in the office 5 days a week in North Sydney
